Italy and France
Ride the climbs made famous by the Tour de France and the Giro Italia
2016 - 13 nights $3990 - May 28th - June 10th,
Lake Maggiore - Italy
Lake Maggiore is located on the south side of the Alps. It is the the second largest lake in Italy and the largest in southern Switzerland. The lake and its shoreline are divided between the Italian regions of Piedmont and Lombardy and the Swiss canton of Ticino.
Having 4 nights in this region allows time to get the jet lag out of your legs along with ample time to explore the area around Lake Maggiore and Lake Varese. We will also ride across the border into Lugano, Switzerland on one of our rides. The rolling hills combined with some difficult climbs will give you a good rounded experience of this beautiful region.
Rivoli - Italy
Located 12 kilometres from Torino, Our accommodation is surrounded by greenery in a rural setting. Only 2 kms from the Castle of Rivoli and 15kms from the Avigliana Lakes. The magical scenery and variety of cycling routes make this region a favourite holiday destination among keen cyclists. A truly unique area for riding!
The climb of Col del Sestriere is the most famous of the mountains in this region however there are many more used by the Giro over the years which are available to ride during our stay in Trivoli.
Montgenevre - France
The famous climbs Col d'Lautauret, Col du Galibier and Alpe d'Huez are just 3 of the climbs available to us to climb whilst in Montgenevre.
Montgenevre is in the heart of the Southern Alpes, Frances oldest ski resort sitting at 1,860 metres on the French / Italian border. The town claims to have 300 days sunshine a year, which means that we should have good weather when we visit.
