Rome, Fiuggi & Naples
$3999 early June 2020

Rome, Fiuggi & Naples : 8 nights
This is the forgotten Italy.
While the masses head to Tuscany and the cities and lakes of the North, or the big climbs in the Alps and Dolomites, Naples and the Amalfi Coast are left to bask in splendid serenity.
Quiet roads, tempting vineyards, breath-taking towns and a couple of UNESCO World Heritage sites await if you choose to explore this region with us.
You will leave here with great memories of the quiet roads and amazing countryside.
Rome : Fly into Rome and spend a day being a tourist and explore all this beautiful city has to offer. When you have finished being a tourist then its time to ride so we head over to ancient village of Fiuggi.
Fiuggi : is a hidden gem located only 70kms from Rome so it is a quick transfer to this quaint little village where you will find some of the best cycling routes in Italy.
We could cycle on the ancient "Apia Antica" through Roman ruins and aqueducts, or head to the rolling hills around the area which are a favourite training ground for Vincenzo Nibali.
Given Fiuggi was host to a stage start and finish in the 2015 Giro you can rest assured this area has some serious cycling cred! From the most challenging climbs like Monte Livata, to the quiet roads through tranquil valleys filled with olives and the vineyards of Cesanese Piglio.
Naples: Naples is such an intense and rich city that we will discover it slowly. What better way than on our bikes? We will explore the Sorrento peninsula, Phlegrean hills and maybe the climb of Vesuvius.
Dating to the 2nd millennium B.C.E., it has centuries of important art and architecture. Its landmarks include Naples Cathedral, whose Chapel of San Gennaro is filled with frescoes and statues, and the lavish Royal Palace. Naples is also renowned for its distinctive style of thin-crust pizza of which I'm sure we will sample our share.
We have some exciting rides planned for area so expect the unexpected when we venture out on our bikes whilst here.
